NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion men’s and women’s soccer programs are teaming up to give Monarch fans the opportunity to bring their pet to an ODU soccer game, as they host the first annual “Pups On The Pitch” weekend Oct. 10-11.
“Pups On The Pitch” will run for the men’s match versus New Mexico on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. and for the women’s match versus North Texas on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m.
Fans can bring their dog on a leash into the stadium and everyone in their party will receive a discounted ticket rate of $3. ODU students with their pets, as always, receive free admission by showing their student ID.
At each match, fans can also share a photo with their pet using the #MonarchPets hashtag on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter for a chance to win two tickets to the Old Dominion football game vs. Western Kentucky on Oct. 31.
The winner of the “Monarch’s Best Friend Photo Contest” will be announced on Monday, Oct. 12, via the ODU Athletics social media pages.
