NORFOLK, Va. – The American Sports Network will feature the ODU men’s basketball program eight times this season as part of the Conference USA television package, as announced today by the league office.
The Monarchs finished 27-8 overall last year and are riding a 24-game home winning streak at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. As a result of their home court strength, seven of the eight ASN games will feature the Monarchs at the Ted.
“This is a great television schedule and I am very excited that our arena and great fan support will be showcased this season,” says ODU head coach Jeff Jones. “ASN has really helped expose our program and the University over the past year, and provided an opportunity for our alumni nationwide to follow the team.”
The addition of the ASN games completes the C-USA TV selections, with ODU featured 12 times including the previously announced contests on the CBS Sports Network and the Fox Sports Channel. Additional games outside the C-USA package include ODU at Richmond on Dec. 16 on ASN, ODU vs. Purdue on Nov. 21 in the Hall of Fame Classic on ESPN3, and the championship game on Nov. 22 on ESPN2. The consolation game of the Hall of Fame Classic will be streamed on ESPN3, also on Nov. 22.
