MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Old Dominion men’s golf team wrapped up competition at the Golfweek Program Challenge in fourth place out of the 18 participating teams after amassing a score of 849 (-15) over the course of the three-day event. Seth Sweet was the highest-finishing Monarch, as he shot a 71, 72 and 68 (-5) which landed him in a tie for 14th place.

Jacksonville’s David Wicks seized the individual title after shooting 66, 68 and 69 (-13), and James Madison’s Ryan Cole finished just one point behind with scores of 65, 72 and 67 (-12).

ODU newcomer Calvin Greschner capped off the tournament with scores of 70, 72 and 70 (-4) which earned him a tie for 17th place.

Individually, Seth Sweet finished fifth in par five scoring at 4.53 (-7), and he also had one eagle in the event. Antoio Cruz-Conde had 13 birdies, and Thomas Henderson finished sixth among all players for pars with 39.

The Monarchs are back in action Sept. 20-22 at the VCU Shootout in Richmond, Va.
