RICHMOND, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s golf team wrapped up competition at the 2015 Janney VCU Shootout at The Country Club of Virginia’s Tuckahoe Creek Course in Richmond, Va. on Tuesday. The Monarchs finished in 12th place as a team.
In the team race, James Madison claimed the title with a total score of 857 at the conclusion of the three rounds, which ended a three-year championship streak for Virginia Tech. East Carolina took home second and UNCG rounded out the top three. Old Dominion finished in 12th place with a score of 892.
Individually, Maryland’s Tom Harris clinched the tournament crown after shooting 66, 69, 71 (-10) for the event. ODU’s highest finisher was Antonio Cruz-Conde, who tied for 24th place after shooting 73, 73, 75 (+5). Calvin Greschner finished in a tie for 41st place as the next highest-placing Monarch.
The ODU men’s golf team will be back in action Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Firestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio.
