NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football capped off its first week of fall camp with a full padded practice on Saturday morning.
The 24 period practice lasted just over two hours and featured several team periods that were mostly siutational. The offense was given second and long and had two downs to get a first down while the Monarchs worked on special teams, specifiallly kickoff coverage and punt block.
Highlights from day six:
- On the first play of team, Shuler Bentley hit Jonathan Duhart down the right sideline for 25 yards.
- Oshane Ximines continued getting in the backfield recording a pair of sacks.
- Colin McElroy drilled Marques Little with a 42-yard touchdown pass down the middle of the field.
- Later in the period, Bentley connected with David Washington to convert a fourth and long into a touchdown while Blake LaRussa hit Washington for a 45 yard touchdown pass.
- Redshirt freshman safety Justin Noye intercepted a pass for the defense.
The Monarchs return to practice on Monday.
