NORFOLK, Va. – Former Old Dominion basketball star and current Atlanta Hawk Kent Bazemore will throw the first pitch at the Norfolk Tides game on Sunday, July 12 at 6:05 p.m. He will sign autographs free of charge on the concourse for approximately 45 minutes.
Bazemore helped lead the Monarchs to two NCAA tournament appearances and most recently helped the Atlanta Hawks finish the season with the NBA Eastern Conference's best record of 60-22.
A native of Kelford, NC, Bazemore began his NBA career with Golden State, before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on Feb. 19, 2014. He began his Atlanta Hawks career in September of 2014, earning a starting spot in the final two games of the NBA divisional playoffs against Cleveland. He averaged 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds throughout the 2015 playoffs.
