CZECH REPUBLIC – Old Dominion University women’s golf sophomore Katerina Vlasinova won the Czech Republic National Match Play Championship.
After 36 holes of stroke play qualifying, Vlasinova was seeded No. 13 in the match play bracket winning her first match in 19 holes over Johanka Steindlerova. In Vlasinova’s second round match she again won in 19 holes beating Marie Lunackova, who will be a freshman at Coastal Carolina this fall.
In the semi-final match, Vlasinova won 5&3 over Tereza Melecka. Vlasinova won 7&5 over Sara Kouskova in the championship match to claim the national championship.
