NORFOLK, Va. -- The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced the scholar athletes for the 2015 season on Thursday and the Old Dominion rowing team had 13 student-athletes honored.
To be named to the team, a student-athlete must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or above, be at least in her second season of eligibility and have rowed in the institutions NCAA or IRA eligible boat for a minimum of 75 percent of the current spring races or racing in a regional conference event.
ODU led all Big 12 teams with 13 total honorees, while Alabama added 12 to the list. Kansas State ranked third with 11, Texas was fourth with 10 and Oklahoma rounded out the top-5 with eight athletes honored. Kansas and West Virginia rounded out the Big 12 teams with six awards each.
