IRVING, Texas - After taking the top spot in the men's bracket, Rice also received the top seed and a first-round bye in the 2015 C-USA Women's Tennis Championship. Old Dominion received the No. 3 seed after finishing the season with a 14-5 overall mark and winning eight of its last nine matches. The four-day event hosted by the Owls is set for April 16-19 in Houston at the newly built George R. Brown Tennis Center.

All 14 teams will be competing in the conference championship, with Marshall (14-9) earning the other bye. First-round matches are set to begin at 9 a.m. CT Thursday, while Friday's quarterfinals start at 10 a.m. CT and Saturday's semifinals kick off at noon CT. The championship match is slated for 10 a.m. CT Sunday.
Rice (13-8) has won nine of its last 10 matches, including victories over five ranked squads during that stretch, and boasts the highest-ranked singles player in C-USA in senior Natalie Beazant. Beazant holds an impressive 15-2 record on the season to place in the top-25 of the April 7 ITA polls.
Old Dominion (14-5) follows the Owls and Herd for the three seed, led by top singles player freshman Borislava Botusharova. In her debut season, Botusharova has posted a 16-2 mark so far and is in the top-100 of the ITA rankings.
