MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Nick Walker hit a two-run home run for Old Dominion baseball in the top of the ninth but Middle Tennessee scored two in the ninth, including the winning run scoring on a wild pitch to give MTSU a 5-4 win and series sweep of the Monarchs on Sunday evening.

In the top of the ninth P.J. Higgins reached on a one-out single and Walker followed with a blast to left field for his third homer of the season to give ODU a 4-3 lead.

Dustin Delgado led off the bottom of the ninth with a double and was removed for pinch-runner, Kevin Sullivan. Sullivan moved to third on a ground out but Ronnie Jebavy followed with a walk and stole second setting up an intentional walk for Jared Allen. Michael Adkins delivered a single to right field to score Sullivan to tie the game at four. Thomas Busbice induced a ground ball by Jake Ingold and Higgins was able to throw out Jebavy at home for the force for the second out. With two outs and Austin Bryant batting, Busbice uncorked a wild pitch allowing Allen to score and give MTSU the 5-4 win.

The Blue Raiders scored first as Adkins drove in a run with a sacrifice fly while pushing the lead to 2-0 in the fifth on a Bryant RBI double.

ODU got on the board in the sixth on an RBI double by Zach Rutherford and RBI single from Nick Lustrino to tie the score at two.

Connor Myers led ODU with three hits while Higgins had two for the Monarchs.  Delgado and Jebavy had two hits apiece for MTSU.

Busbice allowed three runs in four innings of work with five strikeouts while picking up the loss.
