NORFOLK, Va. – Senior attacker Jessica Liberty has been named the Atlantic-Sun Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Liberty led the Monarchs with seven total points last week on five goals and two assists. To conclude a West Coast trip, Liberty notched four goals and two assists in a 12-8 victory over UC Davis. Her four goals came on only four shots for a 100 percent shooting percentage.

In the following game, she converted one of two free position opportunities for her fifth goal of the week. She also added three ground balls, a caused turnover and a draw control in both games combined.

She ranks second on the team in goals, assists and total points. Her shooting percentage was 83.3 for the week.

Connor Carson was also named an additional nominee for the weekly defensive award as she paced the back line with four caused turnovers and six ground balls to go along with her three draw controls. He leads the team in all three categories so far this season.

The Monarchs are back in action at home on Saturday, March 21 as they host American for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
