KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Old Dominion University senior diver Rachel Eckert was named the Conference USA Diver of the Year at the C-USA Championships.
Eckert won the 3-meter dive on Thursday night with a school record total of 336.50. On Friday night, she won the 1-meter dive with a score of 292.90. On Saturday, she finished third in the platform dive, a dive she does not perform regularly during the year.
She became the first Conference USA diver not from the University of Houston to win both the 1 and 3-meter dives at the same championship.
She will compete in the NCAA Zone Diving Championships from March 9-11.
