NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University women’s tennis team (3-3) fell to Middle Tennessee (7-2) by a score of 5-2 on Friday night at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
The Blue Raiders started off the day, grabbing the match’s first point, winning two of the three double’s matches. Old Dominion’s sophomore tandem of Ingrid Vojcinakova/Marijana Novakovic picked up a nice victory over MT’s Brittany Huxley and Nayara Moraes, 6-4.
Old Dominion’s No. 116 nationally ranked Borislava Botusharova handled one of Conference USA’s top players, Tiffany William, in straight sets (6-1, 6-3). Botusharova is now 5-1 on the season.
ODU sophomore Ingrid Vojcinakova fought hard to pick up a tight three-setter victory against MT’s Jesse Grace (6-1, 4-6, 10-8). With the victory, Vojcinakova moves to 4-2 on the season in single’s play.
