NORFOLK, Va. – The 17th-ranked Old Dominion Monarchs return to the Ted Constant Center for their final home match of the 2014-15 season, as they are set to take on Atlantic Coast Conference rival, No. 18 NC State, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The Big Blue room in the Ted Constant Center will be open 90 minutes before the match for all fans of ODU Wrestling and there will be drinks and concession items available. Make sure you stay after the completion of the match to get an ODU wrestling poster autographed!
The Monarchs enter the match against the Wolfpack with a 3-1 MAC record after taking down Ohio. ODU showed no signs of stress, winning seven of the 10 bouts. Lenny Richardson led the way by taking down No. 7 Tywan Claxton in sudden victory by a 4-1 margin.
This is just the 15th meeting between the two programs, as the Wolfpack holds a slight 8-6 edge over the Monarchs. The matchup with the Wolfpack will feature 14 ranked wrestlers, including four weight classes with two ranked grapplers. At 125 pounds, No. 17 Brandon Jeske will take on No. 28 Joe DeAngelo, No. 9 Chris Mecate will battle No. 18 Sam Speno at 141 pounds, No. 12 Tristan Warner and No. 17 Max Rohskopf will go at it at 165 pounds, while No. 27 Jake Henderson and No. 1 Nick Gwiazdowski will duke it out at 285 pounds.
Overall Old Dominion is 10-3 on the season and has taken down six top-25 opponents. The Monarchs have defeated then No. 10 Edinboro, No. 21 Kent State, No. 22 Purdue, No. 21 Kent State, No. 23 Bucknell and No. 25 Chattanooga. ODU’s three losses have come to schools that are ranked in the NWCA top-20, as the Monarchs dropped matches to No. 2 Missouri, No. 9 Virginia Tech and No. 18 Wyoming.
Since the loss to Virginia Tech at the Virginia Duals, the Wrestling Monarchs have gone on a five-match winning streak. Individually, Jack Dechow leads the Monarchs with a 17-match winning streak that started in November, following by Tristan Warner who has notched nine in a row since the Midlands. TC Warner leads the team with a 25-12 overall record, while Kevin Beazley and Tristan Warner have both reached 22 wins on the season. Austin Coburn and Jack Dechow have each reached 20 wins, recording a 20-13 and 21-1 overall record, respectively.
