Monarch basketball players Richard Ross and Trey Freeman will be two of twenty-two student athletes who will earn undergraduate degrees from Old Dominion University during winter commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.

The University will recognize the student athletes on Friday, Dec. 5 during halftime of the Lady Monarchs vs. VCU game at the Constant Center (7 p.m. tip-off). Graduates will also be presented with medallions to wear with their cap and gowns, signifying their commitment as a student athlete at the University.

Richard Ross and Trey Freeman, members of the men’s basketball team who will graduate, will retain their eligibility on the squad for the spring semester. Ross will be pursuing a second major in the spring 2015 semester, while Freeman will begin course work for a graduate degree in Sports Management. Ivan Militar of men’s soccer will also pursue a graduate degree at ODU, starting in January, while Tyler Compton of football will begin course work for a second undergraduate degree in the spring semester.
