BUIES CREEK, NC—Old Dominion University newcomers Katerina Vlasinova (Trebic, Czech Republic) and Maggie Simmermacher (Buenos Aires, Argentina) finished sixth and eighth respectively at the Fighting Camel Fall Classic held at the par 72/6026 yard Keith Hills Country Club.
Vlasinova (75-75-75=225) tied Liliana Cammisa of Nova Southeastern for sixth place, just five strokes behind the individual champion, Sarah Bae of High Point. Simmermacher, last week’s C-USA Golfer of the Week (76-75-75=226) finished eighth six strokes back. Simmermacher tied for third in total birdies with eight, while Vlasinova was third in par 4 scoring at 4.10 (+3).
The Lady Monarchs finished fourth (306-302-303=911) while Campbell, ranked 30th nationally won the tournament with an 895 score for the 54-hole event.
Lady Monarch junior Charlotte Hindmoor (Darlington, England) shot a hole in one on par-3, 180-yard 14th hole in today’s final round. Hindmoor (81-76-74) tied for 18th in the tournament, shooting 74, her best round of the tournament. Hindmoor was third in par 3 scoring at 3.00 (even), and was fifth with 37 total pars.
