ODU Completes Day One of the Head of the Charles Regatta

BOSTON, Mass. – The Old Dominion rowing team completed day one of the 50th Head of the Charles Regatta Saturday afternoon on the Charles River.

In event 19, the team’s only race of the day, the Lady Monarchs second varsity eight earned 12th place finish behind a time of 17:25.464 in a field of 34 boats.

Brown took home first place in a time of 16:09.902, while Massachusetts (16:47.500), Riverside Boat Club (16:52.236), Radcliffe Crew (16:57.124) and Duke (16:58.936) rounded out the race's top-five finishers.

The Lady Monarchs continue racing at the Head of the Charles tomorrow with an entry in the Women’s Championship Four at 1:51 p.m. and the Women’s Championship Eight at 2:18 p.m.
