IRVING, Texas -Old Dominion freshman Maggie Simmermacher earns the Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week award after placing fourth at the Lady Pirate Invitational at Greenville Country Club.
Simmermacher finished fourth at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate at Greenville Country Club. The freshman carded a three-over 219 (72-72-75), five strokes behind the tournament champion, en route to all-tournament team accolades. Simmermacher led the 54-hole tournament with 15 total birdies and was second in par 3 scoring at 2.83 (-2). The Buenos Aires, Argentina, native is the top-ranked amateur and member of Argentina's national squad.
This is Simmermacher's first C-USA Golfer of the Week honor of her career, and the second Lady Monarch this season to earn this award. Rachel Walker was named C-USA Golfer of the Week on Sept. 9.
