RICHMOND, VA-- Old Dominion's Jamison Randall shot 72-73 for a 36 hole total of 145 and is only three strokes behind the leader at the Janney VCU Shootout at the Hermitage Country Club. As a team, the Monarchs are in eighth place after shooting 293-303 for a 596 two-round score.
Junior Ashton Newsom and sophomore Thomas Henderson are tied for 25th with two-round scores of 149. Randall led all par 5 scoring at 4.38.
Virginia Tech leads the event with a 579, three strokes ahead of Maryland, while Nick Voke of Iowa state is the individual leader in the clubhouse after shooting 74-68 for 142 through 36 holes. He leads the tournament by one stroke over Conner Hayden of Radford.
The final round is Tuesday.
