Collegiate Challenge.
ODU’s Ashton Newsom (Chesapeake, VA.), Seth Sweet (Madison, ME.) and Jamison Randall (Cumberland, RI.) all finished in the top 10 to help lead the Monarchs to the Golfweek Program Challenge Championship held at the True Blue Course. The Monarchs fired a 10-under 278 today to win the tournament by three strokes over Jacksonville.
Newsom, a junior shot 69 each day to finish his 54-hole total of 207 and tie for sixth place. Fellow teammates Seth Sweet and Jamison Randall finished at 209 to tie for ninth spot in the tournament, and David Langley tallied a 211 score to tie for 18th.
