Football Camp Practice - Day 15 (Scrimmage Report)

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football held its second scrimmage of fall camp Saturday night at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.

The scrimmage lasted just under two hours, while the Monarchs got in about 100 plays.

The offense got off to a quick start as Taylor Heinicke hit Antonio Vaughan for 12 yards and Melvin Vaughn down the middle for a 30-yard gain.

Heinicke followed by connecting with Vincent Lowe for a two-yard touchdown.

The defense also came up with their share of big plays as Andrew Everett and Gary Scruggs delivered sacks while Phil Paulhill and Justin Noye delivered jarring hits at safety to breakup passes.

Later in the scrimmage, Shuler Bentley connected with Travis Fulgham for 20 yards while Gerard Johnson ripped off a 37-yard run.

Heinicke tossed a 12-yard score to David Washington for the final touchdown in the full team session.
