BOULDER, Colo. - Old Dominion (3-10) led the entire first half after scoring their first goal as ODU led 7-5 at halftime, but were outscored 7-3 in the second half and fell 12-10 to the Colorado Buffaloes (9-6).

Lady Monarchs senior attacker Emily Austerberry scored her 100th career point more than 10 minutes into the first half with Austerberry scoring a goal off a free position shot as ODU led 2-1. 

ODU began the first half scoring quickly as junior midfielder Ashmore Standing tallied her 20th goal of the year with an assist coming to Connor Carson, which tied the game at 1-1. 

Austerberry's first of four goals gave the Lady Monarchs the 2-1 lead.

Old Dominion tied the game at 3-3 as five minutes later Austerberry found the back of the net for the second time, her 30th goal of the season.

Redshirt sophomore midfielder Morgan Gallagher scored her first of the game and 9th of the season off a free position shot to help ODU maintain the 4-3 lead.

At 11:36 of the first half ODU received a hat trick from Austerberry to give Old Dominion the 5-3 lead with an assist going to Megan Topper.

Austerberry finished off her fourth goal at 11:08 of the first half to give ODU a three-goal lead at 6-3.

Freshman midfielder Carson scored her first of the night and 11th of the season with an assist going to Jessica Liberty to give ODU the 7-5 halftime lead.

Gallagher began the second half with her 10th goal of the season off a free position shot, which maintained ODU's two-goal lead at 8-6.

Old Dominion was held scoreless from 27:02 until 06:12 as Carly Williams broke through for ODU with her first goal of the season, assist going to Morgan Marrale. ODU trailed 12-9 and were outscored 6-0 until that goal.

With 49 seconds left Ashmore Standing scored her second of the night and 21st of the year off a free position shot, but was not enough as ODU fell 12-10.

The Lady Monarchs outshot Colorado 24-20, picked up 15 ground balls to the Buffaloes 10, while causing 21 turnovers to ODU's 13, however Colorado managed to take 17 draw controls to Old Dominion's seven.
