NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Head Football Coach Bobby Wilder announced on Saturday that seniors Taylor Heinicke, Eriq Lewis, Josh Mann, Andre Simmons and Antonio Vaughan will be team captains for the 2014 season.
It will be the third-straight season that Heinicke will be a team captain and the second-straight for Simmons. Lewis, Mann and Vaughan are first-time captains.
The Spring Game completed the 15 practices allowed by the NCAA and sends the Monarchs into the summer. ODU begins its first-ever season in Conference USA on Saturday, Aug. 30 when they host Hampton. ODU’s first-ever C-USA contest will be at defending champion Rice, while the first home game will be against Marshall.
