IRVING, Texas – Old Dominion’s junior forward Shae Kelley, has been named to the All-Conference USA First Team for the 2013-14 season. Six of the eight first team selections are seniors.
Shae has started in every game for ODU and leads the team in points, offensive/defensive/total rebounds, steals, blocks, minutes, free-throws attempted, free-throws made and starts.
The Denver, Colo. native is averaging a double-double with 19.6 ppg on 48.9% shooting in C-USA play and 10.1 rebounds per contest overall (No. 36 in country/No. 4 in C-USA), while racking up 16 double-doubles, which ranks No. 17 nationally.
Shae’s 2.03 steals per contest ranks fifth in the conference, while her 7.1 defensive rebounds per game ranks No. 2 in the conference. The 6’1 forward has gone for 30 points three times this season and also grabbed a career high of 17 rebounds against Marshall. Shae averages over one block per game, which is good for No. 11 in the C-USA. Earlier this season, Shae was named MVP of the Basketball Hall of Fame Tournament.
Shae Kelley is Creeping Towards More Lady Monarch History
Shae Kelley has scored 959 points over her first two seasons at Old Dominion, which puts her just 41 points away from becoming only the fifth player in school history to obtain 1,000 points in their first two seasons in a Lady Monarch’s uniform.

On Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. MT, Shae Kelley and the Lady Monarchs will take on the winner of 10th seeded Tulsa (12-15, 6-10) versus 15th seeded UTSA (13-16, 4-12).
