GAINESVILLE, FL—Old Dominion University senior golfer Elizabeth Haycock (Birmingham, England )fired a 69 in today’s final round to finish in a tie for eighth at the SunTrust Gator Women’s Invite at the Mark Bostick Golf Club.
Haycock had six birdies on the day, including three in a row on the sixth, seventh and eighth holes to finish the 54-hole event at (75-74-69) 218, just four strokes behind tournament champion Daniela Darquea from the University of Miami who finished at 214.
As a team, the Lady Monarchs compiled a 305 score in today’s final round to finish at 916 for 12th in the tournament. Arizona (866) won the event by one stroke over Kent State (867).
The Lady Monarchs return to action, March 30-April 1 at John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate in Atlanta, GA.
