PINEHURST, NC--ODU Sophomore Ashton Newsom shot 74-76 for a 150 score and is tied for sixth just six strokes back after two rounds of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate. As a team, ODU is in fifth place after shooting 306 in the second round.
Patric Sundlof of Eastern Kentucky leads the individuals with a 144 (73-71) one stroke ahead of Roy Dixon of UNCG (75-70) and Danny Pizetoski of Richmond (69-76) who are at 145.
UNC Greensboro(302-89=591) leads the team field by 10 strokes over Belmont. The Monarchs are in fifth at 620 (314-306).
ODU junior Jamison Randall carded a 74 in today's second round and moved up to 12th with a 152 score.
The final round will be Tuesday.
