PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL-- ODU freshman David Langley (Buckinghamshire, England) shot 78 in the first round and is tied for 36th at the Sea Best Invitational in the Players Stadium of the TPC Sawgrass course. Sophomore Seth Sweet (Madison, ME.) shot 79 and is tied for 48th. As a team, the Monarchs are 12th after totaling 319.
Second round play was suspended due to darkness. Play will start at 8:00 am tomorrow. Final round is expected to get underway about 10 pm shotgun start.
Liberty leads the field with a 291, followed by North Florida at 298 and USC Upstate at 302. Individually Chase Marinell and Niklas of Liberty, Connor O'Rourke of FAU and Ben Crancer of Texas A&M are all -1 and tied for first.
Winthrop’s Bradley Kauffman who had an ace from 125 yards out on the No. 17 island green. Kauffman hit his first career hole-in-one with a 50 degree wedge.
