Helpful Hint: Tryouts typically consist of "across the floor” to show technical elements, pirouettes and fouettes in center, and a combination performed in small groups. This combination will test your jazz, pom, and hip-hop styles as well as some technique. It will also test your ability to learn material quickly. Sometimes, those trying out are asked to come prepared with a 30-second routine to their own with music. If this is required, it will be announced near tryouts.
