NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University men’s tennis team claimed all seven possible team points on Sunday morning against the Bison from Howard University at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. The Monarchs are now 1-0 for the 2014 spring season, while Howard falls to 0-1 overall.
Sunday’s dual started out with all three Monarch double’s teams claiming 6-1 victories, resulting in one team point being awarded to Old Dominion. In single’s play, all six Monarchs handled their business in straight sets.

Next Up for the Tennis Monarchs
Old Dominion will be back on the courts on Saturday, January 25, when they will host the University of Richmond at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. Action is set to begin at 9 a.m.
Then on Sunday, January 26, Old Dominion will be right back on their home courts for two different matches:
vs. Norfolk State – 9:00 a.m. – Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center
vs. Morgan State – 2:30 p.m. Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center
