NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University women’s basketball head coach Karen Barefoot and four Lady Monarch players took time out of their busy schedules and shared the day with kids at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) on Wednesday.
Located in Norfolk, Virginia, King’s Daughters is currently the only freestanding children's hospital in Virginia and is home to one of the nation's best pediatric residency programs. CHKD has a 212 room hospital and serves the medical and surgical needs of children throughout the greater Hampton Roads metro area, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
Also joining Coach Barefoot today at CHKD were: Becca Allison, Galaisha Goodhope, Ashley Betz-White and Destinee Young.

The Lady Monarchs will hit the road to take on William and Mary on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. and then will travel to VCU and Duke before returning back home on Jan. 5 when they take on North Carolina Central on Military Day.
