NORFOLK, Va. - ODUSports.com and Monarch Media present a Wrestling Technique of the Week that gives fans a chance to learn more about the sport of wrestling.
Wrestling Technique of the Week- Underhook Throw By
This week's technique features true freshman wrestler, Michael Doherty (285). In the video Doherty shows how to properly execute an underhook throw by. A native of Moyock, N.C., Doherty capped off his high school senior season with a runner-up finish at the state tournament and placed fifth at states as a junior. This season at ODU Doherty has two decision victories, one coming at the Citadel Open and the other coming at the Wolfpack Open. He finished his career accumulating over 100 wins in high school, including 68 pins.
ODU travels to the Cleveland State Open this Saturday, December 14 before facing Kent State on the road on Monday, December 16 at 7:05 p.m.
