NORFOLK, Va. - Redshirt Junior Tristan Warner was honored by the Mid-American Conference as an additional nominee to the Wrestler of the Week.
MAC Wrestler of the Week Nominee:
Tristan Warner, Old Dominion—Junior, Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Old Dominion junior Tristan Warner finished off a 2-0 week by defeating both Iowa State's John Nicholson 6-3, by a decision and Virginia Tech's Sal Mastriani, 7-2 by a decision. Warner has won five of the last six matches he has competed in and is 7-2 on the year. After finishing second at the Wolfpack Open, Warner has accumulated the most points on Old Dominion University with 38 points.
The MAC Wrestler of the Week went to Kent State sophomore Ian Miller who defeated No. 7 Isaac Jordan of Wisconsin, 10-7 to win the 157-pound bracket at the Navy Classic.
Joining Warner this week as a MAC Additional Nominee were Phillip Joseph (Eastern Michigan), Gabe Morse (Northern Illinois) and Dylan Peters (Northern Iowa).
