IRVING, Texas – Jeff Jones and Karen Barefoot represented Old Dominion at the school’s first ever Conference USA Basketball Media Day in Irving, Texas yesterday.
On the men’s side, the 16 C-USA head coaches decided not to select any preseason team rankings or compile individuals for an All-Conference Preseason Team, as they felt there was just too much unknown with all of the conference’s recent changes and new additions.
On the women’s side, the Lady Monarchs were picked to finish No. 6 overall in the 2013-14 Conference USA Coaches’ Preseason Poll. Newcomer Middle Tennessee was named the favorite to claim this year’s C-USA crown.
