TOWSON, Md. - Old Dominion University swimming and diving fell to Towson in men's and women's swimming and diving Saturday evening in Towson.

The Monarchs did put forth positive showings, winning nine events.

ODU's first win of the evening was freshman Colleen VandePoel's victory in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.09 followed by Julia Vido's win in the 100 breaststroke  at 1:06.34.

Reed Mathews was victorious in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:51.54 followed by Sidni Hoxha's win in the 50 freestyle at 20.72.  Hoxha delivered his second win of the day in the 100 free in 45.41.

Rachel Eckert swept the women's diving events, 1 and 3 meters with totals of 248.70 in the 1 meter and 308.03 in the 3 meter.

Carter Watson was a winner in the 200 IM with a time of 1:57.25.

The Monarchs' final win of the day was in the 400 free relay as Jacob Zeidler, Graham Thatcher, Vitor Sa and Hoxha won with a time of 3:07.77.

ODU hosts UMBC next Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m.
