NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion (4-6, 1-1) will take on Big East foe Georgetown (2-8, 0-2) this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
The Lady Monarchs have won three games in a row after defeating Providence 2-1 in overtime and Quinnipiac 7-0 this past weekend. Sarah Breen scored both goals in Friday's win and was named to the Big East Honor Roll for the second consecutive week. Rosario Villagra led ODU to a 7-0 win on Sunday with 3 goals and 2 assists and was named to the Big East Honor Roll for the second time this year. ODU outshot both Providence and Quinnipiac this weekend by a combined 38-13 and had 21-5 more penalty corners.
"Although we have won these past games, we have not performed consistently at a high level," said ODU head coach Andrew Griffiths. "So we will continue to focus on similar areas. We must be more effective with our penalty corners, and also in general with our defensive footwork and concentration."
