NORFOLK, VA -- Old Dominion University junior forward Rosario Villagra (Salta, Argentina) has been selected to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll for her game-winning goal in overtime Sunday against American University. The Lady Monarchs rallied to win that match, 2-1 to even their record to 1-1.
Daniella Bernasconi of Providence was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while goal keeper Sarah Mansfield of Connecticut was named Defensive Player of the Week. Joining Villagra on the honor roll were Sydney King (GK) of Louisville, Deidra Clymer (GK) of Providence, Rutgers forward Sophie Wright, and Lilzzy Mullen (GK) of Temple.
ODU hosts second ranked Maryland on Friday night at 5 p.m. at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex, then hosts seventh ranked Virginia on Sunday at 1 p.m.
