Field Hockey drops to No. 15 in poll

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion dropped to 15th in the second Division I women's field hockey poll of 2013 by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

The Lady Monarchs (1-3) lost 5-3 against Virginia on Sunday in non-conference play in a game that Virginia led 3-2 at halftime. An empty-net goal in the closing minutes pushed the margin to two. ODU keeper Megan Hept has made 15 saves in the last two games.

North Carolina remained No. 1, Maryland is at No. 2, and BIG EAST conference member Connecticut remained No. 4.

ODU continues action this week -- Friday at No. 1 North Carolina and Sunday at No. 9 Duke.
