NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion University co-ed sailing team is ranked No. 9 in the preseason SailingWorld.com rankings, the organization announced.
The ODU women's sailing team received 21 votes in the women's poll, just two spots behind No. 15 Rhode Island.
Old Dominion finished off last season with a ninth place finish at the Gill/Dinghy National Championships.
The Monarchs begin the 2014 season on Saturday, Sept. 14 when they host the Riley Cup.
