NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis dominated Towson 4-0 Saturday afternoon on a sunny day at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
The Lady Monarchs were winning all matches at the time the match was called.
ODU cruised to the doubles point, as Diana Ivanova and Nikol Hristova were 8-2 winners at No. 1 doubles while Melissa Esnal Olguin and Juliana Pires were also 8-2 winners at No. 2 while Ivanova Vukovic and Nika Khmolovska completed the sweep with an 8-1 win at No. 3.
Ivanova made quick work of Ayana Dow at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0 while Nikol Hristova was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 2.
Melissa Esnal Olguin finished off the team victory with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at No. 5. Vukovic, Pires and Khmolovska were all up one set when the match was stopped.
ODU hosts James Madison tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in the home finale.
