WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Old Dominion University women's tennis finished their regular-season on Saturday at No. 41 William and Mary. The match will be one of just three remaining contests in the Optima Health Challenge between the two schools, which is currently tied at 45 points apiece.
Old Dominion is 12-7 on the year while W&M is 14-5.
The Lady Monarchs are led by junior Melissa Esnal Olguin who leads the team with a 13-5 record. The junior is 11-4 at No. 5 singles and has 11 wins in doubles as well.
Senior Diana Ivanova has won eight-straight matches and is 11-7 on the year while junior Nika Khmolovska is 11-6 this season. Freshmen Nikol Hristova and Ivana Vukovic have 10 wins apiece playing at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
The Tribe are 14-5 overall and 4-4 against ranked opponents.
Maria Belaya leads the team at No. 1 singles and is ranked No. 124 in the country. She owns a 12-7 record while Anik Cepeda has a team-best 16-3 mark.
The Lady Monarchs will participate in the Conference USA Tournament for the first time in school history from April 18-21 in Houston, Texas.
