NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University swimming and diving teams will be competing in the Cavalier Invitational on Feb. 15-16 in Charlottesville, Va. All races will be held in the Aquatic and Fitness Center on the campus of the University of Virginia.
Other schools participating in the Cavalier Invitational include: Drexel, Duke, JMU, Pennsylvania, Virginia and William & Mary.
The Cavalier Invitational will be conducted as an observed meet under NCAA and USA Swimming regulations and rules. All events will be swam as prelims & finals, with the exception of the 1650. All finals will consist of two heats of eight swimmers. Relays will be swam during finals with a prelim swim optional. Each team may enter three relays, however, only two may score. All “A” relays will swim in the final heat regardless of their seed-time. For the 1650, 1000-yard seed times will be used. Each swimmer may swim in four individual events and unlimited relays. Team scores will be compiled using championship scoring through 16 places.
