FORT WORTH, Texas - No. 38 TCU defeated Old Dominion University women's tennis 7-0 Friday evening in Fort Worth.
The Horned Frogs came out early with solid play at doubles to win the doubles point with an 8-3 win at No. 1 and 8-4 win at No. 2.
Olivia Smith continued the strong play for TCU with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Ivana Vukovic at No. 1 singles. Millie Nichols followed suit with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Melissa Esnal Olguin at No. 5 and Simona Parajova knocked off Nikol Hristova, 6-1, 7-6.
Stefanie Tan defeated Diana Ivanova, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 while Federica Denti beat Nika Khmolovska 7-5, 6-2.
Gabi Barbosa finished the sweep with a 6-1, 3-6, 7-5 victory over Juliana Pires at No. 4.
