Mayers, Lowney Named College Sports Madness All-American's

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion wide receiver Nick Mayers and left tackle Jack Lowney were named to the College Sports Madness All-America Team.

Mayers led ODU's strong receiving group, setting school records with 79 catches for 1,233 yards and 16 touchdowns. He finished tied for second in the country with his 16 TD's.

The senior had six games where he recorded 100 or more yards and featured three games with 10 or more catches, including a career-best 12 catches for 271 yards and three scores in the 64-61 win over No. 18 New Hampshire.

Lowney started every game at left tackle protecting quarterback Taylor Heinicke's blind side.

Lowney helped the ODU offense produce record-setting numbers, including leading the country in scoring offense with 45.15 points per game, passing offense at 393.85 and total offense with 548.23 yards per game.
