TULSA, Okla. - The Old Dominion University men's tennis doubles tandem of Carlos Lopez Villa and Albert Ochagavia fell in the third round of qualifying Wednesday night in the ITA All-American Tournament in Oklahoma.
The duo fell 8-4 to Ben Wagland and Pieter Hernus of Georgia.
"It was a good match, but UGA was more aggressive and executed better on the critical points," ODU assistant coach Sander Koning said.
Ochagavia and Lopez Villa finished the tournament with a 2-1 record after earning two victories on Tuesday.
"Overall our guys played very well in this tournament and it was a good learning experience for them," Koning said. "We will take everything what we have seen and experienced back home and continue to make the team better."
