COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Old Dominion University women's tennis student-athlete Nika Khmolovska earned National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year award, the organization announced Saturday.

A sophomore from Odessa, Ukraine, Khmolovska is 8-8 on the year but also has two incomplete matches that she was winning at the time of the stoppage.

"Nika has made tremendous gains in her fitness this year and it is an honor to nominate her for this award," Old Dominion assistant strength and conditioning coach Yaw Baidoo said.

The NSCA All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year award recognizes student-athletes dedication to strength and conditioning.

The NSCA All-American Athlete of the Year program is in its 33rd year and is made possible by a grant from Power Systems, Inc., a Knoxville, Tennessee fitness product leader.
