Spring Practice Update: Practice #15

WRAPPING UP SPRING BALL:
The Football Monarchs wrapped up spring ball with its 15th and final practice on Friday. The offense continued to look 3-3-5 defense while the defense moved from stopping the triple option to schemes run by upcoming fall opponents Duquesne, Towson, William & Mary, and James Madison.

"We had great focus and the players are excited with the mindset of moving forward and looking towards September 1st and our opener against Duquesne," said head coach Bobby Wilder.

SUMMING IT UP:
Head Coach Bobby Wilder was nothing short of please with the way spring drills went this year.

"I told the team at the end of practice that I'm very proud of them and their effort dating back to January 10th when they reported back for the spring semester," said Wilder on looking back over the spring semester. "The way they responded over the course of these 15 practices, I really like the progress of this team, I like their mindset, and their focus in all areas. They are working hard to be better people, doing a lot things in community service. We are having a ver good semester academically and then with football, I'm excited overall with what we've done. I feel like this team is much improved from that team that lost to Georgia Southern in the second round of the playoffs."
