BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Old Dominion University won for the sixth time in seven matches as they rebounded on Monday with a 6-1 victory at Campbell Monday evening.
After dropping their first match in nearly a month on Sunday, the Monarchs battled back with the win today, starting with a win in the doubles points with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Albert Ochagavia and Carlos Lopez Villa won 8-4 at No. 2 while Krzysztof Muzalewski and Alfredo Rodriguez were 8-3 winners at No. 3.
ODU continued their solid play at singles as Lopez Villa was a 6-3, 7-5 winner at No. 2 while Ochagavia won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3.
Wesley Barrett followed with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Josep Baro at No. 4 with Can Cetinel coming up with a 7-5, 1-6, 6-3 triumph over Steven Billington at No. 5.
Alfredo Rodriguez finished off the match with his fifth-straight victory, a 7-5, 6-0 win over James Jones.
The Monarchs return home on Saturday, April 14 at 1 p.m. to host William and Mary for their final home contest of the season.
