WASHINGTON, DC- ODU sophomore Elizabeth Haycock fired a 72 in the second round anda two round score of 149 to lead the Hoya Golf Invitational. As a team, the Lady Monarchs are in second, just two strokes behind St. John's.
After a 77 in the first round, Haycock carded a 72 to lead Danela Ortiz of Nova Southeastern by two strokes and Harin Lee of St. John's by four.
Junior Samantha Morrell finished the day at 160 after a 78 and is tied for 11that 160, followed by Kimberley Bradbury at 163 who is tied for 22nd with Kristen Hagan tied for 29th at 165.
St. John's shot 319 in the second round for a two round score of 635, but the LadyMonarchs shot a tournament best scorching 312 to pull within two strokes after a 325 in the first round. Eastern Michigan is two strokes back of ODU in third place at 639.
