BUFFALO, N.Y. - Senior diver Kelsey Thompson (Chesapeake, Va.) scored 208.00 points on the 1 meter at the 2012 NCAA Zones held at the Alumni Arena Natatorium at the University at Buffalo on Friday afternoon. Thompson placed 34th in the preliminaries out of the 44 women's divers on hand.
Thompson returns to the pool on Saturday on the 3 meter.
Thompson qualified for zones on the 3 meter after scoring a 298.75 to lead the competition during the Lady Monarchs meet with NYU and Montclair State back in January. It was not only her personal best, the best score in ODU history by a Lady Monarch in the event. At the Colonial Athletic Association Championships, Thompson took eighth among the conference divers on the 3 meter.
