ORANGE PARK, FL-- ODU junior Samantha Morrell fired a 73 in the final round to finish the 54-hole tournament at 224 and tied for 18th at the JMU Eagle Landing Invite. As a team, ODU finished 14th.
Morrell shot 74-77-73=224 for the three-day event. Gemma Fuster and Elizabeth Haycock finished at 234 and tied for 54th.
South Florida won the team title with a three-stroke victory over Maryland and Campbell's Kaylin Yost won the individual title at 215, one stroke better than Alex Buelow of Stetson, Juliet Vongphoumy of Maryland and Shena Yang of South Florida.
The Lady Monarchs return to action on March 19 at the Pinehurst Challenge.
